If someone takes the time to give you a compliment, you should accept it with an enthusiastic, heartfelt “thank you.”

First, what is a compliment? A polite expression of praise or admiration, and a formal act or gesture of respect or of high regard. We use to always say Thank you but now you will know 5 different ways to sound more like a Native Speaker!

  •  1. Thanks, I really appreciate it/ Thanks I appreciate your compliment.

  •  2. Thanks so much you made my day!

  • 3. Thank you, you flatter me (you made me feel good)

  • 4. Thanks, I try

  • 5. Thank you for noticing it

Now you can respond to compliments with more confidence, when you walk on the street, at college, with your family, to your partner with everyone every time. Remember, life can be complicated but learning English doesn’t have to be.
